Study of a cabin and internal ergonomy of a tractor

Style and design studies.

In the field of agriculture machines, in particular tractors, design has made, in recent years, some big steps: the Studio has active collaboration in the sector for styling definition of particulars, shapes, even complete. Like in the field of the motorbike, the design of the tractors must move in harmony with the technical features, because it is a machine in which the function must stay in first consideration.
The designer, in this case, must succeed in conceiving solutions to improve, or facilitate, the base features with well-lit cabins, wide visibility in all directions (with reduction of dead corners), internal ergonomy "built" around the operator and, consequently, dispositon commands and instruments, etc.. Regarding external design, the Studio has applied concepts experimented on cars to the tractors, with a look at the aerodynamic shapes for definition of the cabins. The shapes of the tractor must transmit power, over all in the working periods with rear tools, but movement and dynamism, too.
In particular, the eye must run on its lines in continuation, and so on its path arriving to the trailer (round-balers, cart, etc..), rendering them less imposing. Concepts like these can be discovered in internal design, which follows ideas already shown, but ideas who bring at the definition of an ideal cockpit ("working room") with colours, textures, accessories, easy working of the commands, air conditioning, all oriented to give back as easily as possible the work for a long number of hour.

Historical research, drawings, situations.

The analysis of the modern agricultures roots: this is how the work of the Studio would be interpreted in the field of historical tractors, "epochal". An epoch in which manual work was at the base of agriculture and the birth of working machines, first (between the second half of 19th Century and the first half of the 20th), and the birth of the tractor, after having carried on a strong progress.
The tractor comes to be a real symbol of an important period.
The role of the Studio is to realize, in this case, drawings with only one theme (showing of a single tractor) or other ones with full generations of tractors in them (for example, the generation of tractors "hot head"), with a rooming appropriate to the topic. The drawings are realized with classical techniques to maintain the old style, graphical too, of the epoch that we are going to represent, with the original sizes in the case of lateral or front view. The tractor answers, besides all of the original requests (characteristics, colours, accessories, etc..), able to satisfy the most sharp observers and, often, improve into them important remembrance for the new generation, grown in contact with actual tractors, more sophisticated than older ones. Then a didactic rule, too, which is completed with the analysis and show of the tools of the epoch (different types of ploughs, moving bar, etc..).
